Gesellschaftliche Krisendiagnosen sind in aller Munde. Ob Corona, Klimawandel oder ökonomische Ungleichheit – die drängenden Probleme der letzten Jahre und Jahrzehnte werden zunehmend krisenhaft erlebt. Der Begriff der Krise ist dabei hilfreich, um strukturelle Schieflagen ins Auge zu fassen und nach den größeren Zusammenhängen zu fragen, welche aktuelle Missstände begünstigen.
In unserer Ringvorlesung wollen wir gemeinsam diesen Blick hinter die Kulissen werfen und mögliche Lösungsansätze für gesellschaftliche Krisen aufzeigen. Die Themen reichen dabei von Postwachstum über Gewerkschaften, feministische Ökonomik und Postkolonialismus bis hin zu Eurokrise, Ungleichheit und Geldtheorie.
Social crisis diagnoses are on everyone’s lips. Whether Corona, climate change or economic inequality – the pressing problems of recent years and decades are increasingly experienced as crises. The concept of crisis is helpful to focus on structural imbalances and to ask about the larger contexts that foster current grievances.
In our lecture series we want to take a look behind the scenes and show possible solutions for social crises. The topics range from post-growth, unions, feminist economics and post-colonialism to the euro crisis, inequality and monetary theory.
