When talking about climate targets, all too often „the economy“ is pitted against effective climate protection – but can this really be justified? 🤔
Our guest Steffen Lange explores this question in his lecture „Macroeconomics of 1.5 degrees: Green growth, degrowth or post-growth?“. Confronted with the problem of the climate crisis, previous solutions are critically analyzed and the three major paradigms green-growth, degrowth and post-growth are compared. 📈📉
If you have always wondered what macroeconomic framework is necessary for a post-growth society, or whether we should continue to discuss the decoupling of GDP and CO2, then you have come to the right place! But even if you are completely new to this field, you can expect an exciting lecture for which no prior knowledge is needed.💚
The event will take place hybrid, you can either dial in via zoom or bring your friends and join us in presence to watch the online-lecture together (which is highly recommended!)
